Due to scheduled fiber replacement works, the Margaret River Library and Depot will be closed from Sunday 5 May to Tuesday 7 May. We'll reopen during our usual business hours on Wednesday 8 May. Our online services are available 24/7. Explore them at Library Services.

To access the full range of library services, we encourage you to join our community of library members. Your library membership is valid at both the Margaret River and the Augusta branches.

You  need to be a member to:

  • Borrow items eg. books, audiobooks, DVDs, magazines, and digital devices including C-pen and power usage meters
  • Access our huge range of e-resources (e-books, e-audiobooks, movies, educational courses) 24/7.

You don’t need to be a member to:

  • Use the library wifi and public computers (with a guest pass)
  • Use photocopying, printing or scanning facilities 
  • Attend an event or activity 
  • Hang out and enjoy the space, read a book or have a cuppa.

How to become a member

Membership for adults

To become a member, visit either one of the branches with some ID. Our friendly staff will ask you to complete a form and will introduce you to the services that are available to you. 

Membership for children and youth (under 18)

Parents/guardians need to bring in some ID (for themselves, not the child), sign the register and accept the rules of use on behalf of the child.
