Roads affected by Cape to Cape Mountain Bike Race 17-20 October 2024
From 17 to 20 October over 600 local, national and international riders will take part in the Cape to Cape MTB Stage Race

Starting at the iconic Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, the riders will ride approximately 200kms and finish up four days later at Cape Naturaliste.

As the riders embark on this massive adventure, please be mindful of temporary road closures across the shire. Please note that the Wooditjup and Pines Mountain Bike Trail Network will also be closed for the duration of the event.

Details

Stage 1 – Thursday 17 October 2024: Augusta
  • Leeuwin Road will be closed between Augusta Boat Harbour and Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse from 6.30am to 2.30pm. No vehicle access to the lighthouse. 
  • Skippy Rock Road will be closed from 6.30am to 2.30pm with no access to Leeuwin Road. 
  • Diana Road will be closed between Green Hill Road and Matthews Road from 8am to 1pm, with local access only. 
  • Hillview Road will be closed from 8am to 1pm, with local access only. 
  • Green Hill Road will be closed between Hillview Road and Old Farm Road from 8am to 1pm, road with local access only.
  • Please note that the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse will be closed during the event window.  
 
Stage 2 – Friday 18 October 2024: Nannup (FYI)

Stage 3 – Saturday 19 October 2024: Margaret River
  • Wirring Road will be closed between Osmington Road and Whyte Road from 7am to 2.30pm, with local access only. 
  • Bussell Highway Crossings: 
    • Riders will be crossing Bussell Hwy at Tanah Marah Road, stop-go will be operating from 7:30am to 10am.  
    • Riders will be crossing Bussell Hwy at the DBCA access Road (between roundabout and Carters Road). Stop-go will be operating between 9am to 1:30pm. 

Please expect delays and allow extra travel time. Motorists are kindly asked for their patience during this period. Margaret River Trail Network will be in use by the event from 8am to 1:30pm on Saturday 19 October 2024.
 

Stage 4 – Sunday 20 October 2024: Dunsborough and Eagle Bay (FYI)
