Payment due dates

If paying in full, payment is due by 19 September 2024.

If paying in instalments, payments are due as follows: 

  • 1st instalment due by 19 September 2024
  • 2nd instalment due by 21 November 2024
  • 3rd instalment due by 23 January 2025
  • 4th instalment due by 27 March 2025

The instalment fee ($8.50) has been abolished for 2024-25. However interest of 5% still applies. The interest was reduced by Council from 5.5% to 5%.

Ways to pay your rates

Pay by BPay through your own financial institution. 

Reference numbers and the Shire's Biller Code are located on the bottom of your Rate Notice.

This is a 24 hour service, accepting only Mastercard or Visa.

Payments can be made in person by cash, cheque, EFTPOS or credit card (Mastercard and Visa Card only) at our Shire Offices in Augusta and Margaret River.

Rates payment options (in full, instalments or special arrangement)

Full payment is due 35 days after the date of issue of the original notice. Note: The due date is shown on the front of the rates notice.

You can pay your rates over four instalments. 

Instalment interest is charged at the rate of 5% as adopted by Council. Eligible pensioners and
seniors are exempt from instalment and interest. The first instalment amount due shall include all outstanding arrears and where any arrears remain unpaid the instalment option may not be taken.

Weekly or fortnightly BPAY payments can be made to pay off your rates in smaller amounts.

Interest applies and is charged at the rate of 5% as adopted by Council. Eligible pensioners and seniors are exempt from interest.

If a more regular payment arrangement would better suit your financial needs, please make a special arrangement request online and the Revenue team will contact you once your request has been reviewed and approved.
