About Mel
Mel Stevens is a Chartered Accountant with an extensive career in finance including roles with Fortescue Metals Group and LVMH Wines and Spirits.
She has been employed by the Shire since 2018 and was promoted to Manager Corporate Performance in August 2021. In this position, she has established the Shire’s Long Term Financial Plan, restructured the Corporate Business Plan and delivered complex budgets to Council, amongst other initiatives. She has also overseen the development of the ICT Strategy and Shire’s first Customer Experience Strategy.
