Brookfield Mountain Bike Park Revamped and Ready for Summer Fun

Refreshed Mountain Bike Park ready for the Holidays

With Christmas just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to inspire kids to head outdoors and soak up the summer sunshine. Mountain biking, one of the fastest-growing sports, ticks all the boxes for adventure, exercise, social connection, and excitement. Just in time for the holidays, the Shire is thrilled to announce a full refresh of the Brookfield Mountain Bike Park.

Since its launch in January 2023, the Park has been a hit with riders of all ages, offering countless hours of trail-riding fun. Following a successful trial and overwhelmingly positive community feedback, the Shire has partnered again with local trail-building experts, Magic Dirt Trailworx, to elevate the Park to the next level.
The upgraded Park will feature exciting new trails including three jump lines, a connecting trail loop, and a mix of jumps, rollers, table-tops, and banked corners. The enhancements are designed to provide an exhilarating experience while maintaining safety for riders of all skill levels.

Shire President Julia Meldrum shared her enthusiasm for the Park’s transformation:

“We all want our kids to get outside and have fun this summer, and the Brookfield Mountain Bike Park is the perfect spot for riders of all ages and abilities to enjoy some outdoor excitement,” she said.
“Created last year as a collaboration between the Shire, Magic Dirt Trailworx, and our local community, this refresh builds on its success. We’re excited to see even more families and young riders enjoying the trails.”

The Park has also been developed with environmental stewardship in mind, incorporating tree planting and weed control measures to protect the local flora.

“Preserving our bushland is a priority,” added Ms. Meldrum. “The beautiful Jarrah and Marri trees provide a natural canopy of shade, making the Park a fantastic spot even on sunny summer days.”

Work on the Park’s upgrades will begin on Monday, 16 December, with the re-opening scheduled for Saturday, 21 December—just in time for summer adventures.
