Shire of Augusta Margaret River Community Development and Events Grants now open!

The Shire of Augusta Margaret River is excited to announce the opening of the Community Development and Events Grants program. This program aims to foster community resilience, connection and wellbeing.

Shire President Julia Meldrum highlighted the importance of this initiative, stating, "These grants are a fantastic opportunity for community organisations to receive the support they need to bring their innovative ideas to life and address local needs. We look forward to seeing the positive outcomes from this program."

Funding Categories:

Category 1: Community Development and Events Grants

• Grants up to $10,000 (excluding GST)
• Multi-year funding available
• Applications close on Monday May 26 at 4pm

Category 2: Easy Grants

• Grants up to $3,000 (excluding GST)
• Funding available for 1 year
• Applications close on Monday May 26 at 4pm

The Community Development and Events Grants encourage celebration, creativity and connection, and build the capacity of community groups to enhance their impact and respond to local needs. Smaller community events and initiatives are invited to apply for a one-year Easy Grant to kickstart their projects.

Past recipients have included much-loved larger community celebrations and tailored mentoring and wellbeing programs for young people.
