Community Invited to Fearn Ave Fiesta Christmas Celebration

Feeling festive? Head to Fearn Ave Fiesta on 14 December.

We're excited to announce a community Christmas event to see out the year! Fearn Ave Fiesta will be held on Thursday 14 December from 4pm to 8pm in the Festival Precinct of the Margaret River Main Street.

The fun-filled festive celebration will kick off around 4pm with a Welcome to Country and live music by Si&B bringing jazz-pop and reggae tunes, followed by Gypsy rockers Freeway South and Eat Sleep Play, who are guaranteed to get you grooving!

In addition to the feel-good tunes, locals will have the chance to get crafty with Christmas activities for kids and the arrival of Santa around 5pm for those wishing to take photos before rush hour in the North Pole.

Community members are encouraged to get some Christmas shopping done while they’re out and about and may even bump into Riversong Choir who will be bringing the Christmas cheer with classic Christmas tunes.

This event is part of the Shire's efforts to respond to requests from residents and Main Street businesses to improve the activation of Fearn Ave and have more Christmas celebrations in town.

All the action for this year’s event will be centred in the Festival Precinct, with live music, Santa arrival and Christmas crafts. The street will remain open and roving carollers will help to spread the festive atmosphere.

Businesses who are feeling festive have the chance to win a $500 Local-Is-More card for the best Christmas themed store front, with the winner to be announced at the event. It’s also a great chance for Main Street traders to make the most of the newly relaxed stance to alfresco dining as the weather warms up.

Everyone is welcome to come along and join in the celebrations and we hope to see a great turnout of people of all ages to join in the fun.
