Grants Programs Now Open!

Shire Grants Programs

The Shire of Augusta Margaret River has announced several of its Grants Programs are now open, including:
  • Community Development and Events Grants (up to $10,000)
  • Community Development Easy Grants (up to $3,000)
  • Community Partnerships (up to $50,000)

Community Development and Events Grants and Easy Grants

Community Development and Events Grants encourage celebration, creativity and connection, and build the capacity of community groups to enhance their impact and respond to local needs. Applications for multi-year funding up to three years will be considered. Smaller community events and initiatives are invited to apply for a one-year Easy Grant, to kickstart a smaller community initiative.

With past recipients ranging from much-loved, larger community celebrations through to tailored mentoring and wellbeing programs for youth these grants aim to foster community resilience, wellbeing and connection. Applications for Community Development and Events Grants and Easy Grants close at 4pm on Friday 8 November.

Community Partnerships

Expressions of Interest are also open for the Shire’s Community Partnerships Program, which replaces operating grants. Through this program, the Shire is seeking submissions from organisations who provide long-term, strategic services in the shire, to achieve outcomes that benefit the community or natural environment.

Community Partnerships are designed to align with both the Shire’s Strategic Community Plan 2040 (SCP) and the partner organisation’s strategic goals, with two streams including: Environmental Conservation and Stewardship and Sustainable Economy & Community Development.

Creating partnerships will support our community’s long-term needs across environmental conservation, sustainable economy and creative industries as well as community development. By establishing Community Partnerships, together with community organisations, the Shire seeks to work more collaboratively with community groups to drive shared outcomes.

Organisations interested in Community Partnership should visit the Community Partnership grants page to download the guidelines and the Expression of Interest (EOI) form. Submissions close at 4pm on Friday 8 November. Multi-year partnerships up to three years will be considered.
