We are asking for community input to improve beach parking in Prevelly and Gnarabup.
Our region is known for its stunning coastline and beautiful beaches which are loved by locals and visitors alike. However, as our population grows, and visitation to our region increases it is placing more pressure on our existing infrastructure including parking, footpaths and public toilets. To address some of these pressures while protecting surrounding vegetation, we’ve developed some initial concept plans for locations in Prevelly and Gnarabup and are seeking community feedback to help refine them.
This input will assist in determining high-level costs and priorities and laying the groundwork for potential funding from the State or Federal Government to make these improvements.
The concept plans include additional parking bays, expanded bike parking, improved footpaths, and enhanced facilities at popular beach locations including:
- Mitchell Drive
- Gnarabup beach (top car park)
- Grunters
- Gas Bay
Path re-realignment plans for Riflebutts to the White Elephant and the Cape-to-Cape track have also been prepared.
