Help Us Identify Where A Reduction In Speed Limit Is Required

In partnership with RAC and the City of Busselton, the Shire of Augusta Margaret River is undertaking community consultation to identify where speed limits should be reduced across both local government areas.

Speed continues to be a leading factor in road trauma. We need to make our roads safer for everyone. Research shows that reducing speeds by just 10% could see an approximate 30% reduction in road crashes that result in serious injuries or fatalities.

It is intended that any speed limit reductions would be implemented for a three-year trial, to allow time for driver behaviour to change and for data to be collected and analysed.
