The Shire has received an application for a proposed hotel at 752 (Lot 101) Wallcliffe Road, Margaret River commonly known as the Wallcliffe House site.
The proposal will be determined by a Joint Development Assessment Panel (JDAP) and not by the Shire.What the proposal includes
The proposal includes:

Accommodation with 25 keys (31 beds) which can accommodate up to 62 guests. The accommodation includes 18 rooms and 7 individual cottages
Restaurant and Bar for 62 people (guests only, no public access)
Spa Treatment Rooms (guests only, no public access)
New vehicle access incorporating widening of Wallcliffe to include right hand turning lane
Extensive landscaped gardens
Service buildings
Guest, staff parking and bike racks.
The site and proposal
The site is zoned tourism and is a place of recognised Aboriginal, European, and natural significance. The former Wallcliffe House and old dairy buildings are heritage listed and are to be re-built and re-purposed into the proposed Hotel and associated restaurant and bar.The proposal includes building height variations.
