This month Council endorsed a new suite of Key Performance Indicators for the Shire's Chief Executive Officer in line with a five year contract extension for the current CEO, Stephanie Addison-Brown.
Council and the CEO worked together through a facilitated process to develop the KPIs covering key priority areas including biodiversity protection and customer service enhancement. Continuation of the good relationships forged with community partners is also a priority, as Council continues to respond to the growing needs of the community.
Paula Cristoffanini, our Shire President, said Council is delighted to present this comprehensive list of KPIs to the community following a genuine and collaborative development process.
“Council has considered emerging issues and feedback from the community through a number of consultations, meetings and surveys throughout the year including a review of values undertaken by Council and Shire staff, and this was at the heart of the themes in this list,” Paula said.
“I am also very happy that Council has endorsed a five year contract extension for the CEO and she has our full support to deliver on the KPIs over the next few years.”
Stephanie Addison-Brown, our Shire’s CEO, said she is delighted with the focus for the KPIs and is excited to get started on some bigger picture focus areas with a longer term impact.
“It is exciting to be given the opportunity to work with Council to drive these positive goals for the community and for the organisation, and I know our talented and dedicated Shire staff are keen to continue to engage with community and stakeholders as we collectively work for the betterment of the environment and the wellbeing of the people who call the Shire home.
“We have already developed a Customer Experience Strategy this year as well as undertaking work to commence mainstreaming biodiversity considerations throughout the organisation, so these new KPIs demonstrate our commitment to strengthening our focus on these.”
