Newly Appointed Bush Fire Control Officers

The following officers have been appointed by the Chief Executive Officer of the Shire of Augusta Margaret River under section 38 of the Bush Fires Act 1954:

• Ranger, Garth Baxter
• Ranger, Adam Haines-Monaghan
• Compliance Support Officer, Matthew Bain
• Compliance Support Officer, Liz Quicke

Compliance Support Officers are subject to the following conditions and limitations:

• permitted to exercise the powers of entry under s39(1)(b) Bush Fires Act 1954;
• must be accompanied by a Ranger; and
• permitted to make observations and be a witness if required in enforcement proceedings, related to the Bush Fires Act 1954 and subsidiary legislation.
