Members of our Augusta community are invited to nominate to be part of the Turner Street Jetty Community Working Group.
This group will play an important role in shaping the future of this beloved local landmark.
What will the group do? As a member of the group, you will help guide the development of the Turner Street Jetty by:- Providing constructive feedback to the Shire as the project moves through design and procurement phases.
- Sharing your views during community workshops about the Jetty’s future.
- Helping define design priorities for the project.
- Assisting in identifying potential advocacy and funding opportunities to bring the project to life.
- Advise us on how best to communicate updates.
- Supporting community consultation to ensure that all voices are heard and represented.
How to get involved: We’re looking for a diverse group of up to 20 members who represent a variety of community perspectives. Applications close on Wednesday, 16 April at 8am. The group will meet twice during the early stages of the project:
- Thursday, 17 April 2025
- Thursday, 29 May 2025
- Additional meetings will be scheduled as the project progresses, with at least seven days' notice provided.
