Nominations for Annual Volunteer Awards Now Open

The Shire of Augusta Margaret River is calling for nominations for its annual volunteer awards, which seek to recognise and reward those who generously donate their time to make our community a better place to live.

Nominations are now open for the Volunteer of the Year Award, as well as the Youth Volunteer of the Year award, which seeks to recognise younger volunteers from 12 to 25 years old.

This initiative stems from the Shire of Augusta Margaret River’s Community Strategic Plan 2040 which aims to promote welcoming, inclusive and healthy communities through supporting and valuing volunteers and community groups across the region.

Find out more about the 2022 Volunteer of the Year Awards and get a nomination form. You can also pick up a hard copy from the Shire of Augusta Margaret River offices, libraries, recreation centres or Margaret River HEART.
Nominations have been extended and now close on Sunday 20 November 2022. The winners will be announced as part of the Thank a Volunteer Day celebrations to be held on Thursday 8 December 2022 from 6pm to 8pm at the Margaret River HEART.

For further information about Volunteer of the Year nominations or the event, please contact Community Development Admin Officer Shannon Walker on 9780 5233 or email [email protected].
