Planning Team Partner with Students for Project

Shire Planning team and high school students collaborate!

Over the last two to three years, the Shire planning team partnered with Margaret River High School on a planning-based project. 

Shire planning staff presented to the students over two days, who then proceeded to prepare their projects for future development areas of the shire. The project gives a valuable insight into what is of value and concern to youth in planning for the future. 

Students were tasked with analysing specific future development sites in the shire, creating planning reports and developing 3D models.

Selected models are currently being showcased in the Shire Office foyer. Come check them out!
