Restricted Burning Period has commenced

Restricted Burning Period commenced on Saturday 5 April 2025.

The Restricted Burning Period for the Shire of Augusta Margaret River has begun. With cooler days and nights and rain forecast, now is the time to lessen restrictions.

To keep our community safe, visitors and residents are urged to be respectful of the following fire restrictions:

• Permits to set fire to the bush are required for all burns at all times including garden refuse burns up to 1sqm after 6pm.
• Solid fuel BBQs and Campfires are now allowed on days where the Fire Danger Rating is Moderate or below in approved areas or with the landowner’s permission.
