SAMM Fest Set to Celebrate Skate, Art, Music and Mental Health

SAMM Fest is set to celebrate all things Skate, Art, Music and Mental Health at the Margaret River Youth Precinct this month.

The Shire of Augusta Margaret River and its Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) are bringing this jam-packed, free event to the community from 3pm to 8.30pm on Saturday 25 November.

The event will feature live music by Ruby and Ruby, The Chords and other youth bands, as well as a climbing wall, basketball, screen printing, plant pot painting, food vans and more!

The Soggybones Skate Comp will kick off at 6pm and will run until 7.30pm, when an After Dark Skate Sesh for those aged 12 and over will start.

SAMM Fest 2023 has been put together by young people, for young people and is a way to celebrate young local talent and promote positive wellbeing.

Along with the talented bands performing and the huge range of fun things to get involved in, SAMM Fest brings young people together and provides access to mental health information in a way that’s engaging, fun, free and accessible.

Young people are encouraged to bring their family and friends along and to get involved. SAMM Fest is an inclusive, drug and alcohol-free event and is a great chance to connect and have some fun.

SAMM Fest 2023 will be held at the Margaret River Youth Precinct, 31 Wallcliffe Road, Margaret River and is proudly run by the Shire of Augusta Margaret River and its Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) with involvement from Concrete Club, Soggy Bones and Headspace Margaret River.

For further enquiries about the event including if you have accessibility requirements, please contact the Shire’s Community Development Team on 08 9780 5255 or email [email protected]
