FOGO Processing to Recommence

The Shire of Augusta Margaret River advises residents that FOGO processing will recommence from 24 January 2024 after being temporarily changed due to a fire at the processing facility.

The Organics Processing Facility is located in Dardanup and managed by Bunbury-Harvey Regional Council. The facility processes food organic and garden organic (FOGO) waste collected throughout the South West, including FOGO waste from the Shire of Augusta Margaret River. 

Following a fire at the facility, waste from FOGO bins was temporarily sent to landfill. Bunbury-Harvey Regional Council  have now advised they will recommence processing of material collected in FOGO bins from Wednesday 24 January, 2024.  From this date material will no longer be send to landfill.
