Time for the Kids to Make a Splash This Summer

Margaret River Swim School has announced the dates for its popular ‘Learn to Swim’ program at Gnarabup beach and enrolments are now open.

The 35-minute lessons will run throughout Term 4 (6 November till 12 December 2023) on Mondays and Tuesdays after school starting at 3:40pm. Lessons will be scheduled using the Swim and Survive levels as the basis for enrolment.

The program is suitable for children between the age of 5 and 15 (kids turning 5 by 31 December 2023 are welcome) and follows the Royal Life Saving’s "Swim and Survive" course as well as incorporating essential elements of beach and ocean safety.

Please remember that these lessons fill up very quickly, so enrol soon to avoid disappointment.
Weekly fees: $16 per child, $14 per second child, $11.20 per third + child (days/weeks are selected at enrolment.

To help the lessons run smoothly, please remember: 
  • Parking: Please park in designated bays only.
  • Sun Smart: Please ensure SPF30+ sunscreen is applied to your child when the UV is 3 and above.
  • Goggles: Please ensure your child brings goggles.
  • Wetsuit: Whilst not mandatory, it is highly recommended your child wears a well fitted wetsuit for lessons.
  • Floaties: Children can wear flotation vests or similar if they feel more comfortable; however, instructors may require elements of lessons to have these removed.
  • Arrival: Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your lesson start time and report to your flag colour.
