Witchcliffe Courts and Playground Upgrade Set to Begin

Exciting improvements are coming to Witchcliffe, with works scheduled to commence on Tuesday 22 April 2025 at the existing courts on Redgate Road.

The project will deliver a new nature playground, upgraded tennis and multi-use courts, replacement fencing, new picnic seating, shade structure, BBQ facilities, and pathway improvements.

These enhancements follow extensive community consultation, during which local businesses requested that works begin after Easter 2025 to minimise disruption. In response, the Shire has aligned the project timeline accordingly, with completion anticipated by July 2025.

The upgrade forms part of the Shire’s ongoing commitment to community wellbeing and recreation and aligns with both the Leisure Plan and Public Open Space Strategy.

Funding for the new playground has been made possible through a partnership between the Australian Government and the Shire of Augusta Margaret River.
