Newly elected in 2023, this is Nicki’s first time in local government. Over the last 25 years, Nicki has been an active and engaging community member, volunteering in many roles in sporting clubs, school P&C’s and other organisations.
Nicki has had a full and varied career in the fitness industry, performing arts, education and as a small business owner. During her work in the education sector, Nicki had the opportunity to teach in the remote Tiwi Islands. She also has valuable skills engaging with people of all abilities and needs.
A born and bred West Australian, her favourite place is at the beach. Nicki is a stand up paddle board coach and yoga teacher. She is an educator and mentor.
Married to Paul, they have three grown children, Julia, Owen, and Jazmyn. Nicki, Paul, and Owen are owner/operators of a small eco-friendly campground in Augusta.
Looking through the lens of tourism, Nicki understands the delicate balance of preserving our Shires valuable assets together with showcasing its natural beauty and uniqueness to visitors from all over the world.
