About Tracey
Elected in 2021, Tracey Muir made the Margaret River Region her home 16 years ago, drawn by the natural beauty of the area and the vibrant community. Here, she met her husband and together they are raising their son.
Tracey has a strong farming background, with her family owning and operating the only commercial almond orchard and processing plant in the south west of WA.
She has a passion for landcare and sustainability and has developed and led environmental education programs for local schools. She estimates she has conducted planting and restoration workshops with more than 1000 students, teachers, parents and volunteers. Tracey is the Deputy President of the local Surfriders Foundation, where she has been a volunteer for a number of years.
During her elected term, Tracey wants to place strong focus on community consultation, ensure Council is operating effectively and efficiently, and achieve outcomes that ensure that there is a bright future for the next generation.
