About Andrea
Andrea’s passion for local government, as the tier of government closest to the community, was ignited during her time as a trainee at the Town of Bassendean. Since then, Andrea had the privilege of working in local governments in diverse regional and remote communities across Australia including in numerous management and executive roles.
A central focus of Andrea’s career has been to build and nurture trust between local governments and the communities they serve.
Notable achievements of which Andrea is particularly proud include leading one of Australia’s first participatory budgeting initiatives, championing Reconciliation efforts, and fostering customer-centric cultures and systems.
Andrea is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Bachelor of Applied Science and an MBA.
Andrea has also dedicated much of her time as a volunteer in several community organisations, including Volunteer Sea Rescue, the Bush Fire Brigade, various school boards, and the board of a Bendigo Bank branch.
