Appointment of New Shire Directors Completes a Refreshed Leadership Team

Following an intensive recruitment process, the Shire has announced the appointment of two new Directors as part of a refreshed leadership team.

Nick Byrne will join the Shire of Augusta Margaret River in the newly created role Director Sustainable Economy and Communities, while existing employee Mel Stevens has been appointed Director Corporate and Customer Services.  

The pair join Stephanie Addison-Brown, CEO, and Nick Logan, Director Sustainable Development and Infrastructure, in the restructured Executive Leadership Team, approved by the Council earlier this year.

The new leadership structure is designed to align with the Shire’s future direction which places sustainability at the core of all strategic initiatives, and will facilitate the delivery of key economic, environmental, and social outcomes.   
Mel Stevens' appointment takes effect immediately, while Nick Byrne will commence on Monday 13 November 2023.
